Bridge Club Christmas Party

The Christmas party was held on Friday 18th December in the evening. Thanks go to all those who contributed by making tasty nibbles, cakes, and mince pies.  Thank you to those providing wine and soft drinks. Thank you also to the team who set everything up on the day and cleared up afterwards.

Proceedings started with a drink to get everyone in the party spirit. Then the food was attacked with gusto.

After a period of socialising, the winners for the year were awarded their trophies, presented by our Treasurer, Mrs Dee Worlock. The winners were:

Motcombe Bridge Shield:

Highest Score in any week (Peter & Anita Alford Trophy):

(Alan was away so Phil accepted the trophy on behalf of them both)

Fred Blake Memorial trophy (British Heart Foundation):

The evening finished with a session playing Chicago. The lady and gentleman with the highest score were awarded a Mars bar as their prize. Similarly the lowest scoring lady and gentleman also received a Mars bar as a consolation prize.  To avoid embarrassment, no names are cited!
